The whales remain in danger. However, your voice is helping get the message across, and we owe you an update.

Next week, young Australian whale activist, Skye Bortoli will be delivering the Daily Telegraph/Today Show/Greenpeace petition to Japanese politicians. There is a whopping 120,000+ signatures, including yours - making it one of the biggest petitions ever in Australian history. Thank you. (Read on for details of a free thank-you gift).

The timing for Skye's hand-over is perfect. Our ship, the Esperanza, has just returned from the Southern Ocean having prevented more than 100 whales being killed over two weeks. We've used publicity from these actions to massively ramp up our campaign in Japan - and we are seeing definite progress. Only a few years ago, our activists in the Southern Ocean were barely reported in Japan - but over the last month, the media coverage has been huge. The Prime Minister was even forced to adddress
the whaling issue in Parliament.

We believe it is only a matter of time before the Japanese public demand an end to their taxes supporting fake science and the hunting of whales for meat that very few want to eat - all while bringing their country into international disrepute. So we're helping Japanese get involved in the campaign themselves through our face-to-face campaigning, "WhaleLove" Internet site, and ongoing media work.
